Groove Rule Forces Titleist to Rebrand Technology


Spurred by the PGA Tour's decision on Tuesday to go ahead with U-groove rollbacks starting in 2010, Titleist has unveiled new packaging for its Pro-V1 golf ball.

All the players are saying they are just going to start using softer balls now. So i am waiting for Titleist to release the Pro VSponge and the Pro VSpongex.

The only way to completely level the playing field is to eliminate ALL grooves.

By his own admission, Tiger already uses the spiniest ball on tour. Nike probably now has a team working round the clock on a new one.

My wedges could have rough grit sandpaper on the face and the ball still wouldn't spin no matter what ball I use. I guess that comes with the territory on being a duffer.....
