Spurred by the PGA Tour's decision on Tuesday to go ahead with U-groove rollbacks starting in 2010, Titleist has unveiled new packaging for its Pro-V1 golf ball.
All the players are saying they are just going to start using softer balls now. So i am waiting for Titleist to release the Pro VSponge and the Pro VSpongex.
My wedges could have rough grit sandpaper on the face and the ball still wouldn't spin no matter what ball I use. I guess that comes with the territory on being a duffer.....
I've played some mediocre golf for the Princeton golf team, written for TV contributed to Yahoo's and ESPN.COM's golf coverage. My book on Tiger's 2008 season, FOLLOW THE ROAR, is recently out in paperback.

The only way to completely level the playing field is to eliminate ALL grooves.
Prepare for the return of the balata.
By his own admission, Tiger already uses the spiniest ball on tour. Nike probably now has a team working round the clock on a new one.

Interesting marketing idea, BKM, but do you think all ProV users are sponge-worthy ?
Court, you got a real LOL from me on that one.
