Here’s something that keeps coming up – but doesn’t seem to be addressed correctly - IMHO. Nearly everybody points to the PGA win by Yang as giving hope to the younger generation.
My problem with that is this - the only guys to take out Tiger Woods over the last 13 years have been OLDER than Woods. Yang is four years older than Tiger at age 37. Vijay Singh and David Duval, who bumped Tiger out of the #1 spot in the rankings…and the slightly less bally-hoo’d Ed Fiori…are all older.
It means that when Woods returns we'll continue his countdown to 18. Just a blip on the screen. All the stats are still mind boggling. The competition is catching up some....emphasis on some. 19 in 2013 with another 7 or so good years if he chooses.
